  • bill was pending for five years from 1990 to 1995 to get the consent of the President(R. Venkataraman & Shankar Dayal Sharma) 
  • passed with the consent of the President on 15-9-1995
  • The first Commission, formed during the tenure of Shri. A. K. Antony as Chief Minister 
  • came into force on 14-3-1996.

For Scholars(Never Read it!!)

  • 3 other Members and 2 ex-officio members who are noted dignitaries of the society.
  • performs as a statutory body,it performs on all matters relating to women's problems.The commission inquire into the complaints of any unfair practice and take on decisions.Then the commission will recommend to the government,what action to be taken in that matter.The investigations relating to the issue concerning women is carried out by the head of the investigation wing,Director of KWC

Kurichya Revolt : 1812

From PSC Point of view (Smart Worker) Protest from  Kurichiyas  and Kurumbars of Wynad against  the  British  Government’s   policy  of collecting revenue  from  them  in cash  rather than  in  kind. Led By : Rama nambi. For Scholars and Researchers( Not for Studying) After the suppression of the Pazhassi rebellion, Wynad was brought under strict surveil­lance of the British and the Kurichyas and Kurumbas, two aboriginal tribal communities who were the main supporters and militiamen of Pazhassi Raja, were subjected to untold abuses and privations. They were left to languish in enforced poverty and the revenue officials and military men made their life a veritable hell. The most grievous injury to the life of these tribal came from the new revenue settlements effected by Thomas Warden after the Pazhassi Rebellion.
